Child Safety Initiative brings together thought leaders, subject matter experts, and visionaries to help build safe and inclusive experiences for children using Extended Reality (XR). Children are exposed to the internet at a very young age when they are unaware of the risks associated with it. For example, the transition from desktop computers to handheld devices gives parents less control over what kids are exposed to. They can have access to inappropriate content, can easily be trapped into fraud transactions or other malicious activities. We at XRSI are committed to address and protect kids from Social, economical and technical risks associated with the use of Extended Reality (XR).

We prevent online harm and protect kids from existing and novel threats in the XR domain. We do this by conducting research, building standards, and establishing measures to keep kids safe online along with providing guidance to parents, teachers, and policymakers around risks associated with emerging technologies related to XR.
