Vandana Ujjual

Vandana Ujjual, XRSI’s AI and Emerging Technology Governance Advisor, is the senior manager of AI and emerging technology governance at Walmart. She guides the ethical use and development of AI by ensuring that innovations align with the core values of trust, transparency, and inclusivity. Her role is pivotal in shaping Walmart’s AI strategies to align with responsible governance, leveraging her expertise in emerging technologies and global regulatory landscapes.

As a recognized expert in Science, Technology, and Innovation, Vandana was invited by the European Commission’s Directorate General – Research & Innovation (DG R&I) in Brussels to advise on high-level policy initiatives. Holding a PhD in Technology Policy, Econometrics, and Economics & Management of Innovation, Vandana conducted in-depth research on high technology clusters in Scotland, analyzing innovation, performance and networks within technology firms
